IBI’s latest research examined which employees utilized virtual care throughout the pandemic. The analysis found that 20% of employees sought virtual care in 2021, along with demographic differences among users.
IBI Research Lead Dr. Nicole Nicksic discussed the findings on virtual care use, including demographic differences among those who did and did not use virtual care in 2020 and 2021.
May Dorris, Associate Director, Center for Advanced Analytics, UnitedHealthcare National Accounts, presented UnitedHealthcare claims data, which observed the medical care virtual visits from national vendor providers and traditional providers from over 6 million members.
IBI’s President Kelly McDevitt discussed implications for employers, the importance of offering a virtual care option, and strategies for encouraging virtual care use in the workplace.
